Pastors Steve and Debra Rose
Dr. Steve Rose has served as the lead pastor of Muskogee First Assembly of God, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, for the past 34 years.
Steve and his wife Debra met at Central Bible College. Together, they followed the call of God and partner in ministry. They have three adult children and four amazing grandchildren.
Steve grew up in Springfield, Missouri, and feels right at home when driving down the scenic highways to visit Branson, Missouri. Among his favorite things to do is reading about the latest cars, riding in his Honda ATV, fishing for trout, and traveling on missions trips.
Steve received a B.A. in Bible from Central Bible College. He also received a Master of Arts in Christian Ministries degree and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. Prior to his pastoral ministry, he pursued a music degree from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. Steve enjoys playing the piano and leading worship.
Prior to coming to M1A, Steve served as the Kansas District Youth and Christian Education Director for the Assemblies of God, pastored First Assembly of God, in Liberal, Kansas; was a youth pastor at First Assembly of God, in Cushing, Oklahoma, and Park Crest Assembly of God, in Springfield, Missouri.
Throughout his ministry at First Assembly, the church has shared Christ and built churches all over the world, on seventy-seven missions trips. He also has led the church in seven extensive building programs. Under his 34-year leadership, the church has significantly grown.
